Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! As a local I’ve always said I would never go to the beach on the 4th of July, but some friends went early to set up a tent and umbrellas so we braved the crowds!

Denim Cut off Shorts/Lace Trim Top/Flip Flops
Thanks to their planning and food prep we had such a fun morning chatting with friends while the teens laid out, swam and ran into friends from school.

Then home for a quick outfit change (which of course included my favorite star earrings and necklace) then we drove down town to board a cruise ship for dinner and fireworks.

Hi girls. :) It was the first time we’ve tried this (we booked with Flagship Cruises) and we heard it was smart to go really early to get a good seat. The wait was long but..

it definitely paid off when we were able to snag tables and seats on the top deck!

I bought these shoes a few weeks ago and have seriously never worn such comfortable espadrilles! I love them so much I’m debating getting them in a neutral shade too. Would 100% recommend!

Drop Waist Dress/White Cardigan/Denim Jacket/Crossbody Bag/Red Bandana/Star earrings and Star necklace
I had a thin white sweater and my jean jacket thinking I would just wear one of them and ended up so glad I had them both to layer! It got cold quickly on the water.

The fireworks and city lights were spectacular. They had food on the ship and played fun music and we all ate and danced and had a great time. Another 4th in the books! Happy birthday America. :)

Sharing some pics of my home at night! I snapped these around 1 am.. it feels like the only time my house is clean in the summer is after everyone goes to bed! I wanted to share a couple of new floor lamps I got that I’m loving, But first fun news.. my is 70% right now! Such a crazy good deal on this beautiful table. We have had it in our family room for a few years now and I still absolutely love it.

This is a closer look at the shade up close. It comes in 3 colors with this floral print and I fell hard for this shade of green and the gooseneck design! It added some personality to this space and now I’m inspired to update a few other things. It’s on sale right now too!

So cozy at night with all of the lamps and candles on!

Faux Artichokes, Rattan Bowl (similar)
Beautiful flowers from Kenny’s office and these faux artichokes are always fun decor in the summer/fall.

My braided tray is back in stock!

My checkered marble trivet on sale now too. I hauled that home in my suitcase last time we went to visit Ad in Texas. :)

So cozy.

Enjoying the variety of colors and messes with kids all home a little longer!
Then on to cozy fall. :)

Love your posts, Erin! I look forward to them, and have gotten so many wonderful ideas for my home and myself from your suggestions! Thank you for all you do for us followers!
Cheryl your sweet comment MADE my day! Seriously that means so much to me! Thank you! Grateful for you taking time out of your day to spend with me here. :) xo
Your 4th looked so fun! I love the boat idea for the fireworks! I’m curious just how early you had to get in line?! Notetaking for future reference :) Love that you had such a fun weekend with your beautiful family!
Thank you so much Lisa! Oh my word.. we went so early! We waited around 2 1/2 – 3 hours but we were the first people in line! I don’t think you have to be as crazy as us and go that early.. ha. But we did have first pick of where to sit! Our group and maybe 5 others came that early. There were food tents across the street so we all took turns waiting in line. Some people came later and brought their own chairs to sit on the top deck. The top deck just fills quickly and there is limited seating so I would recommend being there at least an hour and a half early!
